Nationaleatingdisorders.org This is the website of NEDA, the National Eating Disorder Association. The website provides lots of information and resources for individuals with eating disorders and their families. It is a positive resource and provides links to resources, support, advocacy organizations and other information.
nccp.org/publications This website, published by the National Center for Children in Poverty, provides good information about adolescents and mental health issues.
Nami.org The National Alliance on Mental Illness provides information and support for a wide range of mental health issues. It is the nations largest nonprofit grassroots mental health education organization. They sponsor an annual walk for awareness and fundraising in September.
bridgeforyouth.org A great local organization that provides emergency support, housing and health services for teens is The Bridge. they are located in Minneapolis and serve primarily Hennepin County youth, but have a 24 hour crisis line as well as locations around the twin cities.
face2face.org This is a community resource we are lucky to have. They provide health care and counseling to kids ages 11-24 with or without health insurance. They have several groups and provide confidential health care when it is needed and appropriate.
